Let's begin with the fact that the base is 12 inches wide, providing ample storage space. There are two silver-colored knobs on the drawer (which opens from both front and back). You can see the yellow stickies shown in the right side of the drawer. You can also see the narrow compartment in the front left that could hold pens or pencils. This Desk Caddy has numerous compartments in the drawer which could hold such items as: notepads, pens, paper clips, a stapler, rings, watches, and more. The top surface of the rectangular, polished, light wooden caddy has two elliptical grooves for storage as well.

The globe has satiny pale blue oceans and lime green land masses. It is slightly tilted. There are longitude and latitude lines as well as many political labels. The globe is made of heavy acrylic. The base is made of wood.
